Lower hosting and cloud costs
Many small products pay for servers that sit idle most of the day. We move them to serverless and edge platforms, where you pay for what is actually used.
Where the money usually goes
- Virtual servers and managed databases sized for peak traffic that happens an hour a day.
- Separate staging and test environments running around the clock.
- Managed services added one by one and never reviewed again.
- Time spent patching, restarting and upgrading servers — a cost that doesn’t show up on the hosting bill.
How we reduce it
1. Analysis
We go through your current bills and infrastructure and show where the money goes, what is actually used, and what the same system would cost on a lighter setup.
2. Plan
You get a concrete migration plan with the expected savings and the one-off cost of the move, so you can decide whether it pays off.
3. Migration
We move the application step by step to serverless functions, edge hosting and managed SQL or object storage — with tests and monitoring in place, so users don’t notice the switch.
4. Afterwards
No servers left to patch. Scaling happens automatically, and quiet periods cost close to nothing.
We run our own products this way
Everything we operate — fewbase with its seven services, Baltic Monitor, Drones War and DevGrants Daily — runs without a single server of our own to maintain. That is what lets us keep small products alive for years.
When it doesn’t fit
Long-running heavy computation, large always-on databases or strict data-residency rules can make serverless the wrong choice. The analysis says so honestly, and sometimes the saving is simply a smaller server.
Questions
How much can we save?
It depends on the current setup. The analysis gives you an estimate in money before you commit to anything.
Will there be downtime during the move?
We plan migrations to run side by side and switch over when the new setup is verified, so downtime is usually minimal or none.
Are we locked into one provider afterwards?
We keep the application code as portable as practical and document the setup, so moving again later stays possible.
